From 17 to 23 October 2026, at Domaine Majou outside Montréal in the Aude, literary agent and author Sarah Bullen leads a six-night writing retreat for novelists, memoirists, poets and anyone with a manuscript that needs time and structure. Mornings begin with quiet writing time on the terrace or in the room; afternoons move to taught sessions with Sarah on structure, character, dialogue, voice and the business of publishing, with one-to-one feedback woven through the week. The estate sits on 8.5 hectares of former vineyards twenty minutes from Carcassonne, with a saltwater pool, a sauna in the old wine cave, a yoga studio and gardens of olive, peach, apricot and quince. The week takes in day trips to medieval Carcassonne and the market at Mirepoix; meals are prepared by a private chef and shared on the terrace. Sarah Bullen is a literary agent, author and founder of The Writing Room and Kent Literary, who has mentored more than 180 published writers across two decades and led international writing retreats since 2014. She is the author of 'Write Your Book in 100 Days', 'The Other Side' and 'Love & Above', divides her year between Cape Town, Greece and Botswana, and works with writers on book structure, manuscript development and author branding.
