From 11 to 17 October 2026, in Riad Deluxe in the Marrakech Medina, watercolour artist Jurga Vilimaite of Reconnect Journeys leads a six-night atmospheric watercolour retreat for up to fifteen guests. Four days of six-hour studio sessions move through a full curriculum: watercolour and pigment-making basics on day one with a floral subject, composition and three-dimensional form with local fruit on day two, Moroccan ornamentation and palette on day three, and architectural perspective on day four. A guided day in the medina between painting sessions takes the group to the YSL Museum and the Ben Youssef Madrasa, gathering visual reference for the ornaments and architecture days ahead. Professional-grade materials are provided; the Riad has a pool, hammam, spa and rooftop terrace for downtime. Jurga Vilimaite is an internationally recognised watercolour artist and tutor whose atmospheric work captures the interplay of light, emotion and landscape. She founded Reconnect Journeys as a response to what she sees as widespread disconnection from creativity, stillness and self, running small-group retreats in Morocco and Spain built on the mindful process of watercolour.
