Ceramics and Textiles in Oaxaca

June 5 - 9, November 3 - 7, November 14 - 18, or December 5 - 9, 2026 Five days travelling through the Central Valleys of Oaxaca, working alongside artisan communities whose craft traditions run back generations. The programme weaves together a natural dyeing workshop led by an all-women cooperative in Teotitlán del Valle, reed basket weaving with the artisans of San Juan Guelavía, a hands-on ceramics session with a local family of potters, and visits to contemporary design studios pushing traditional techniques in new directions. Evenings are spent eating through some of Oaxaca City's most celebrated restaurants and home kitchens. The group stays at Grana Hotel, a restored 18th-century house turned boutique hotel one block from Santo Domingo. A sunset visit to Monte Albán and a morning at the mineral springs of Hierve el Agua round out a programme that balances making, learning, and simply being somewhere extraordinary.
