Mary Beth Shaw leads this weeklong mixed media art workshop combining the vibrant energy of Barcelona with the tranquil coastal beauty of Costa Brava. The programme begins with a night exploring Barcelona's historic centre, from the Encants Vells Flea Market to the beautifully restored Sant Pau, a spectacular Art Nouveau site. Following Barcelona, participants transfer to the Costa Brava coastline and settle into a waterfront hotel in Calella de Palafrugell, a charming fishing village where art classes take place on a sea-view terrace. Daily workshops guide students in creating personal travel journals infused with ephemera, memories, and artistic expressions from the journey. Walking along coastal paths, exploring medieval towns, and treasure hunting in flea markets provide rich inspiration for spontaneous, joyful mixed media work that captures the essence of Spain.
