October 22-25 2026, writers immerse themselves in grounded creativity and nervous system awareness. This trauma-informed retreat takes place within the rambling 1880s Edgar House and its adjacent servants' quarters, surrounded by twelve acres of lakefront property with wildflower meadows, a contemplative cedar forest walk, and a labyrinth. Participants explore unique approaches to writing that honour the interplay between creativity and nervous system regulation, enjoying guided sessions that might include labyrinth walks, collage work and mindful writing practices. With delicious home-cooked meals served by candlelight, peaceful writing spaces from the wrap-around sunroom to the dock, and optional activities like canoeing or soaking in clawfoot tubs, writers find both deep focus and genuine rest. Pricing shown is an approximate USD equivalent converted from CAD. Please confirm the final price, currency, and options for single or double occupancy with the host directly before booking.
